We will be in the sweet spot of central Oregon on the South Fork of the Crooked River. Our Autumn Base Camp is also the headquarters of a long-term conservation project on the river, with tent sites nestled in a grove of pine with the sweet scent of sage wafting by. Visit ONDA’s website to learn about the important work here that some of us have participated with.
We’ll check the riparian changes, look for young cottonwood, dogwood and alder, watch for sign of beaver, explore the edges of the river and the nearby butte, and drop deeply into the power and depth of our inherent connection with clouds, skies, scents, tracks on the ground and in our hearts.
Coming into the Autumn Equinox as the moon wanes will provide a perfect opening into the mystery of the death-life cycle once again, and we will be its students. Bring all you want to release into the dark of the earth to rebirth into the newness of spring to come.
