We're combining some of our favorite activities in a full, fun day outdoors!
Paddlers (kayaks and canoes) will enjoy the lovely waters near the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge, while others seek sightings of birds in the refuge itself. Then we'll gather together to share stories and bag lunch.
Be prepared for a cash entrance fee or parking fee of $3 to $8, depending on your activities. Bringing small bills is best, as entrance fees are self-serve and no change is available. (No pets at the refuge, even in your car.)
We are asking a $20 donation for the day, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Your donations go toward restoration projects and scholarships.
If you plan to join us and need to rent a kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard, please check in with Jan to see if one is available for you. We have already reserved three single and two tandem kayaks. If these are all spoken for, be sure to reserve in advance with Alder Creek Kayak. They have single and tandem kayaks, canoes, and SUPs. For your convenience, you can make your donation in advance below, or pay with cash or check at the event. Thank you!
