Sisters of the Waters make Radical Joy for Hard Times, June 17 & 18

At Summer Solstice we gather to practice the Radical Joy Way--creating community, beauty and deepening our connection with the Waters of Earth. Join us where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean at Cape Disappointment State Park.

At this crucial time in our world, we turn towards the waters—rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, estuaries, tributaries, watersheds and the oceans to bring love, gratitude and kindness to the wounds we see and feel. We remember that when the places we love, and all those who live there, are on hard times, are damaged by trash, pollution, lack of care and disrespect, we hurt too.

Join the Sisters of the Waters: NatureConnect NW, Earth Treasure Vase Project , Making Artful Prayers and Radical Joy for Hard Times. Learn simple rituals, add blessings to the Earth Treasure Vase dedicated for healing, help make the huge Earth Mandala, construct the Radical Joy Bird, take time to share gratitude, songs and your vision for the future. Come for Saturday's Ceremony and Art from noon to dusk. Or plan to stay for Sunday's Rivers Honoring Camp.

Contact Judy Todd, 503-260-4995 for more details and to find out how you can participate wherever you are. Make your camp reservations early. Family friendly. Donations are gladly accepted to defray expenses for this event.
