Walk in Beauty: Attending the Sacred

  • Skalitude Retreat Carlton, WA (map)

A Five Day Immersive Program designed for maximum solo exploration and shared reflections with a circle of companions, including our other-than-human kin. Your Guides Judy & Jan will invite your participation in Welcoming the Stillness, Befriending the Dark, Sacred Tasks, and Self-Designed Ceremony.

Sinking deeply into the rounded, soft, feminine hills of this numinous and inspiring landscape of the Methow Valley, you join a small company of intrepid souls coming together to dance, sing, contemplate the stars, dream, wander, connect, share, and be allured by beauty. Moving in poetry and mystery, we will explore the sacred within ourselves and the sacred relationship with other beings who encompass us on this planet.

For five days and four nights, be fed by the allurement, stillness, and power of this particular place of Earth’s making. Each day will hold new opportunities to follow your body-heart-soul directions, create personal ceremony, practice being in your own deep nature connection, empower your inherent naturalist and follow the thread that holds you in this lifetime.

This finely crafted program will be the culmination of a year-long focus in developing NCNW Programs as comprehensive and original containers that encircle community, deepen nature connection, and provide a refuge for human hearts to strengthen for the return home. Especially in challenging times, we need one another’s and our own truest self, with renewed vision and courage.

Our Base Camp is surrounded by conifers and grasses in the welcoming bowl of Skalitude, a place of incomparable beauty and power. This extraordinary landscape has captured our hearts and imaginations, and prompted our own transformative learning, and we want to share it with you. The program fee of $450 includes all guidance and materials, all fully prepared dinners, a beverage bar throughout the day, all camp necessities, indoor flush toilet and hot shower. Payment plans are available.

Once you are registered, details for your preparation will be provided. NCNW has a limited supply of camp gear you may wish to borrow once you let us know what you need. We also can help you connect to others for possible loans. We encourage and support ride-sharing to this program. Program scholarships are available. Find Details Here.
