If you love the beauty of butterflies and the scent of aromatic pine needles, you'll love spending this day with us for a combination of restoration and nature art with Barbara Mickey and Gayla Jay.
NatureConnect NW's Monarch Waystation, now in its second year of growth, is a haven for bees, butterflies, birds, and people like you who love nature. Join us in planting milkweed that Gayla has lovingly grown for us over the winter. Later, over a sack lunch, Barbara will give instruction on making pine needle baskets from needles we collected while harvesting nettles. Bring your garden gloves, a trowel, thermos with tea or coffee, your lunch, and curiosity. All other materials and necessary items will be provided.
Registration required due to limited spaces. Donations made will go to NCNW's Restoration and Conservation Fund.
